The decayed condition of the black church is difficult to grasp, not because the facts are hidden, but because the evidences are visible everywhere. Symptoms of distress are accumulating freely in the peoples lives and the black community is demoralized by the lack of coherent remedies. Given the recurring disturbing facts, a climate of stagnant doubt has enveloped the contemporary black church. The things that black people were taught and still want to believe about their articles of faith we loosely call black religion, no longer seem to fit the present reality. This dissonance between fact and faith is so discomforting that many naturally turn away from the implications.The visible sexual dysfunctions in the lives of black clergy are dismissed as a temporary aberration or explained away, cynically as the way things always were. The reluctance and evasion are understandable, some unwanted truths are too painful to face. Yet face them we must!To wrestle with painful reality can be an exhausting task, yet the alternative is to view life trough rose colored glasses. If life is 10% what happens to us, and 90% of how we respond to it, then it’s all about attitude. The rolling up of our sleeves and doing that which may cause mental stress, but in the end we may reap a good harvest if we faint not. Facing hard truths is like a trip to the dentist; no matter how long we delay sooner or later we must go!One painful truth we must face is you’re church becoming nothing more then a local pick up spot for black religious tramps. This does not apply to all who attend just 97% of them. This point was made clear to me while working out one evening.Going to the gym gives me the chance not only to stay in shape; it also allows me to converse with a few guys (who will remain nameless) that I have come to respect their views. I being the often curious guy asked them, what churches have the most / easiest black church women; with out missing a beat they both shouted United Baptist Church, followed by the House of The lord, The Word Church, and Arlington Street.Wait one second, I always thought the women who attend those churches are high class, professional white collar type black sisters? Both men laugh, man those are the easiest to knock off! Playing dumb I reply Go ahead and explain this logic to me.They say, man most of the women who attend these churches are bigger freaks then what you will find in the streets. They hide it behind the Bible most are whores, yet you have different levels. My reply was; that’s an open ended statement please elaborate. Ok it’s important to keep in mind while dealing with one of these church women, to believe half of what they say, and even less of what they do, why do you say that I ask?They have mastered the craft of acting holy, if you work with one, you will see her reading her Bible on her lunch break, acting as if she is praying. If you step to one for a date, she will tell you she wants you to attend church with her. Ok so what do you do when she says that? Play the game it’ll all be worth it once you get alone with her.You see these are your classy whores the ones you see parading around the malls all dolled up (often alone or with some other fake Christian from the church) both oozing with a false air of sanctification, but wait till you get them behind closed doors. The women in church are the same women you see in the clubs, bars, and strip joints, the difference being they have a Bible tucked under their arm.Then they named off a dozen other low budget churches who have a barn yard full of black women wearing the Christian mask, Christ is The Answer Ministries, Mt. Calvary, New Hope, and St. Paul AME. Between sets on the bench press I ask them what do these women do?, well “the one brothers starts” they will do just about anything you ask, as soon as you get past the veil of religiosity, you will see them for the natural born tramps they are.Are black women that stupid I asked them? Their reply; no they are that lonely. Most of these church hookers use the church to fill a void, what do you mean? They have no social life outside the church, so most will use it to take up the space a productive relationship would. Ok so what happens when she is in one? Well her attendance at the church will drop off, that’s until she find out that the brother is gay, down low or doing her mother, sister, or best friend.Ok so what happens after that, well she will become “super Christian” what’s that? This is to make up for the lack of a man in her life. You mean she does all that? Yeah most of these women can’t stand to be alone, keep in mind they are not real Christians so they will not wait for God to send them a man. Is this really about what Don Imus said, or is it yet another chance for these two ambulance chasing relics from a by gone era to get some free media attention? They are not alone in this, the overtly racist National Organization for “white” Women, remains silent while black women are depicted as exactly what Don called the women of the Rutgers basketball team. So why is there no outcry for that? No one can deny what Don Imus said was wrong, yet when you place it against the backdrop of the Hip Hop culture a double standard emerges. Should he be fired no! Why demand from him what you Negroes will not demand from your own?
